Accessibility
A grandparent should be able to read their grandkid's page.
What we hold ourselves to
WCAG 2.1 AA as the target. In practice the rule we work to is that every piece of text on the site must reach 4.5:1 against the color actually behind it — measured, not judged by eye. Buttons and controls carry visible focus outlines, images carry alt text, and the site works from the keyboard.
Where we are
The site was swept in August 2026 by measuring every text color in the stylesheet against its real computed background, including hover and active states, and fixing what failed. That sweep is repeated when the palette changes rather than being a one-off.
Animation respects prefers-reduced-motion. The brand cyan is never used as text on white — it measures 1.5:1 — so links and accent text use a deepened cyan that passes.
Where we are not yet
Screen-reader coverage of the feed and the messaging views is incomplete, and some older parts of the site still have decorative images without descriptions. We are working through them.
Tell us
If something is hard to read, hard to reach, or impossible with a keyboard or a screen reader, tell us and we will treat it as a bug, not a suggestion. Report it here or write to support@sportsaro.com.
